Anti-Spam Policies and the Viper Mailer Product
These Anti-Spam policies are being provided to define what SPAM is and what
Anti-SPAM is (see below for terminology) when applied to the use of the
Viper Mailer Product. The information provided is for the email sending
clients of the Viper Mailer Email Marketing Product.
This policy explains our commitment to the ISP’s (Internet Service Providers),
the Blacklist administrators (see below for terminology), email
administrators, and the email recipients of email delivered via the Viper Mailer
Product in regards to SPAM. If you have any concerns or issues about our
policy management, please contact us here:
Contact Form.
We are also advocates of the Public Law 108-187, entitled "Controlling the Assault
of Non-Solicited Pornography and Marketing Act" that took effect on January 1 2004.
As this law clearly states, millions of people rely on receiving emails each
day and count on this information to be what they requested and need, need both
personally and commercially. We at Viper Logic Corp. understand the values and
the costs of receiving, sorting through and storing junk emails (SPAMS), and we are
committed to abide by this law, governing SPAM and Unsolicited Commercial Email
(UCE).
Viper Logic Corp. is the producer of the Viper Mailer Email Marketing Product,
that contains email Opt-In list management, which is a web based software tool.
The email lists are provided by and uploaded the by the client. We will not and
do not send SPAM, because of the Viper Mailer Product Client Agreement, entitled
"The Terms of Product Use Agreement" clearly states that all recipients of the
client lists must be Opt-In to receive offers from the client prior to sending a
list using our system. This is how we prevent contributing to the SPAM crisis
that we all deal with daily.

Viper Mailer is an Email Marketing Tool with a Zero Tolerance for SPAM
|
- As referenced in our "The Terms of Product Use Agreement" at ViperMailer.com,
the client signing up must read and click on the "I Agree" terms before
the client can finalize the online order form. SPAM is a major part
of our policy, and it is referenced many times throughout "The Terms of
Product Use Agreement".
- When a new client is signs up on our system they are asked several
questions, such as the following: What will be the nature of your offerings
pertain to on an ongoing bases? Does the offering match what the email
recipient has agreed to or signed up for match? Are you sending this
authorized offer from a name that the recipient is familiar with?
- Next, each time the client builds their offering on our system before the
emails can be sent out through us, they must electronically initial the
offering. A copy of this signed offering is then reviewed, and a signed
copy is stored into their file.
- Next the Viper Mailer system does allow a client to upload their email
list. However prior to allowing the use of this client list, our system
searches for known trouble email account headings such as webmaster@,
info@, sales@, all@, and approximately 2 dozen more that are continually
monitored by our system. If a Client is found to have more than a few
of these headers within their list, they will receive a suspicious activity
detection email from our system administrator, requesting that they call or
contact the Viper Mailer administrator before any usage on their
account is permitted through Viper Mailer.

Opt-Out and Identification Market
|
The Viper Mailer Product has two, non-removable features to best stay on top of
maintaining our Zero Spam policy.
- First, in regards to the Opt-Out f, if an email recipient elects to Opt-Out
at the bottom of each offering that a client sends through Viper Mailer,
the client receives this request to remove. However, simultaneously, Viper
Mailer notes this recipient's Opt-Out action. Although the recipient's
email address will remain on the client's list, the system will not allow
any future email offerings to be sent to these identified Opt-Out
recipients.
- Second at the bottom of each email sent through Viper Mailer, near the
Opt-Out option, is the "Powered by Viper Mailer" logo. This allows
the recipients to have access to a link to contact us, via email or phone,
at anytime to discuss the receipt of a fraudulent email offering that was
sent through our system.

What is a Blacklist?
|
A blacklist is a list of domain names or IP addresses of known spammers.
There are numerous blacklists maintained by various companies and organizations.
Most companies end up on a blacklist if they are sending spam and if one or more of
the recipients forward the spam message to a blacklisting service. A legitimate
subscriber/customer might not recognize your email and incorrectly submit your
sent email to be placed on the blacklist. This is why it is vital that all of your
messages prominently display who you are so that there is no doubt that you are
sending the requested email.
|
|
What is SPAM?
|
Besides being a big waste of each persons time, it is defined as:
- The abuse of electronic messaging systems to send unsolicited, bulk
messages. While the most widely recognized form of spam is email spam,
the term is applied to similar abuses in other medias: instant messaging
spam, Usenet newsgroup spam, Web search engine spam, spam in blogs, and
mobile phone messaging spam.
|
|
What is not SPAM?
|
Legitimate Non-Spam email in the view of the Viper Mailer Email Marketing Product, is defined as:
- Any email communications that a person has knowingly signed up for,
including a registration form such as those found at checkout counters
or hotels, the recipient is a member of a group, organization, or club,
or the recipient checked an online accept box (such as, "sign me up to
receive other offers or information"), or on a website requesting to
be added to an email list for related offers of matching interests.
